Last week we talked about bringing your family to Breckenridge, so it only seems appropriate that this weeks topic would be family dining in Breckenridge. While you’ll definitely save money by bringing along some groceries or shopping when you get here, you can’t go wrong with dining out while in Breck.

Yes, skiing and other fun-filled snow activities are probably your favorites, but you’ve got to eat! Keeping the fridge of your Breckenridge Rental stocked is one definite option, but at least once night you should head out to take in all that Breckenridge has to offer for family dining.

Here are our favorite places to eat out with the family!

Columbine Cafe

Breakfast is the way to go with this joint! With a casual atmosphere, the entire family will fit right at home. There will be pancakes as big as your face, amazing omelets, and even the corn beef scramble is delish! Plan on taking a little time one morning to fill up right at the Columbine Cafe!

Empire Burger

Want something big? With so many different dipping sauces to choose from, you definitely need to head to Empire Burger. Did we mention the fresh cut fries and onion rings? YUM! There might be a bit of a wait here, but that’s just because it’s THAT good!

Crepes ala Cart

So this one may not qualify as an actual meal, but these crepes are so good that we had to include them on our family dining list! Whether you want just a regular crepe or a full-on meal (yes, a crepe that constitutes an entire meal!), you can get it here. This walk-up cart is right on Main Street. Again, there’s often a line – but it’s worth it!

Fatty’s Pizza

This is a great, traditional pizza place. Great crust, lots of cheese, and the kids will love it! With dine in or take out available, you’re sure to be satisfied. Send out person out to pick up this delicious family dining option, or go enjoy the atmosphere and sit down for awhile.

The Motherloaded Tavern

If you’re wanting good ol’ comfort food during your visit, this is your place! Portions are big, husbands will be satisfied, and the kids will go home happy. That’s family dining at its finest! Oh – and let’s not forget about the deep fried twinkie! It’s AMAZING!

Mary’s Mountain Cookies

This is another one that technically not a true dining place, but you MUST HAVE these cookies! Just run down to Main Street, grab a regular ol’ chocolate chip cookie and get a few gourmet cookies to go. They are yummy AND beautiful! The best part? With online ordering you can continue to get them even after you’ve returned home!

Downstairs at Eric’s

Located downstairs on Main Street, this energy-filled restaurant almost feels more like a college basement. With arcades to play in the lobby, you’re kids will keep busy during the wait. (Yes, unfortunately that’s the norm in Breck during the busy seasons.) They have an amazing menu with a little bit of everything – pizza, burgers, nachos, and wings.
