We all know that people love to come to Breckenridge for the skiing. But what can you do if you don’t want to ski? There are plenty of things to do in Breckenridge other than skiing. Here are our suggestions:

Snowshoeing

With many different trails to choose from, everyone from the beginner to the advanced snowshoer can have a great time! You can rent gear when you get here or bring your own. If you’re not ready to get started on your own, try a guided tour.

Sledding or Tubing

With or without the kids, sledding is a blast! Make sure you’re in an area where tubing is allowed because they hand out tickets for sledding where it’s prohibited. Costs will vary, but you can rent all of your equipment and pay per hour – depending on where you go.

Shopping

There are many great shops to visit right on Main Street Breckenridge. You can find jewelry, sporting goods, clothing, home furnishings, bookstores, and more! And obviously you don’t want to forget the souvenirs. With a variety of boutique shops, you’ll even find that unique item you’ve been searching for.

History Tour

Take a walking history tour! Learn all about what happened back during the gold rush. You’ll get over 100 years of history, with great guides who have a wealth of information. You can get your tickets right on Main Street, so it’s really convenient. This is one of the many great things to do in Breckenridge!

Dog Sledding

This dog sledding only happened in Alaska? Think again! You can get a feel for this great sport by choosing to go on a short excursion OR an overnight adventure. With several companies to choose from, the entire family is going to love this part of your vacation!

Snow Sculpture Competition

If you’re going to be here at the end of January, you’ll love the snow sculpture competition! These works of art take hours to complete, and they are fabulous! Walk around town and enjoy the views. This is seriously one of the BEST things to do in Breckenridge.

Ice Skating

With public skating taking place almost every day, you’ll have a great time skating by yourself, your entire group, or with the whole family!
